Astro Foods International, was founded in 1980 by Juan Jauregui along with his sons John and Ernesto Jauregui. His sons John and Ernesto continue to operate the family owned business today.  AFI specializes in distributing  jalapeño, chipotle, serrano, banana peppers, and other pepper products for the food service industry.  AFI offers its peppers in different presentations such as nacho slices, strips, whole, diced, halves and puree. Our products are packaged in pouches, cans, 5 gallon pails, pet jars and 55 gallon drums.

AFI sources its products in Mexico which is widely recognized as the finest growing region for pepper products in the world. AFI uses peppers that are grown from a Veracruz variety seed. We believe the Veracruz variety produces a pepper that has great flavor and the right amount of heat.

 AFI's primary objective is to provide the finest quality pepper products for industrial and institutional usage.  AFI's pepper products are used by restaurants, bakeries and other food service producers. Our products are also used as ingredients by many food industry companies. We offer private label for retailers in the food service industry. And also supply our products to all major distributors.

 Astro Foods International, Inc. is fully committed to food safety, which it regards as its highest priority.  The company makes sure that all the products it distributes are backed by a comprehensive HACCP-based GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) Food Safety program and undergoes a third-party Food Safety certification audit once a year.
